HANDS ON [ bite me ]

Lately I am obsessed with taking pictures of men’s hands. There is something about it that fascinates me… Some people may call it fetish, I call it socializing :-) and apparently I am not the only freak  around!

OFR Paris is a wonderful bookstore which I visited yesterday and bought 2 magazines. From the huge amount of ‘paper fun’, I choose:  The Life of Things and Bite Me.

THE LIFE OF THINGS, THE SINK ISSUE: a fascinating contemplation on pipes, garbage, plumbers, drama, history, art, culture, politics and anything you can imagine! Really cool, contemporary storytelling:

“SINKS SPEAK VOLUMES ABOUT WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE LIVE. PART 2 FEATURES THE BIRTH OF THE KITCHENETTE, SINKS FOR GENEVER DRINKERS, PATHOLOGISTS AND BABIES, “KOMMUNALKA” SINKS, SITCOM SINKS AND SINK-LESS EXPERIMENTS.” […]:

And it gets better!!!!!!!!!

[…] “COLLAPSE AND DISSOCIATION AS PRACTICES IN CONTEMPORARY CELEBRATION CULTURE REFLECTING THE SPIRIT OF THE CURRENT CIVILIZATIONAL TRANSITION TOWARDS NO FUTURE” (text by Ashkan Sepahvand for The Life of Things, Sink Issue)

Conclusion: try to find inspiration in your routine, there’s nothing more complex and subtle :-)

AUGUST 2017 / I READ OF REALITIES, society, history and lately trees

I see a lot of trends rising from this idea of realities. So I embrace any source of real information related to this matter. I bought a wonderful magazine while visiting Copenhagen, this year, and it’s called Realness/Tales about our nature. While contemporary art exhibitions in Copenhagen focus on the idea of virtual realities and artificial intelligence, retailers tell different stories indoors (more about this analysis in my travel guide).

Another source of information that I am fascinated about is this online magazine called Reallifemag.com, a Snapchat project, talking about people living with technology. A very cool platform, well curated and with great consumer insight.

*Reading* nature is kind of challenging unless you have an expert’s guidance! :-) I recently discovered this book by Peter Wohllebe – The secret life of trees, telling stories of how nowadays society’s issues reflect perfectly in nature:

Chapter 1.Friends………………………………………………………….……………9

Chapter 2.The language of trees…………………………………….…………13

Chapter 3.Social protection………………………………………..…….…….…27

Chapter 4.Love…………………………………………………………….…………….33

Chapter 5.Tree’s Lottery……………………………………………………………39
